Parents Teacher Meeting in Bihar government schools is a new concept aimed to bridge the gap between teachers, students and parents, fostering a cooperative and collaborative environment to improve academic performance and attendance. These meets are generally held on the last Monday of every month or on Bagless Day of the week. Meet’s objective is to discuss student’s academic performance, attendance and overall progress with parents .its main agenda is to share updates on students performance and on the parent’s side it is basically feedback and suggestions. Meet’s impact includes improved student performance, where regular PTMs helps in identifying areas where students need improvement, enabling targeted support system for achievement. It also encourages parents to take an active role in their child’s education, promoting a true sense of responsibility and cooperation.lt also facilitates open discussions between teachers and parents helping to resolve issues and improve students outcomes.lt promotes accountability amongst teachers, students and Parents, contributing to a more effective education system. High unemployment and lack of awareness limits parents ability to participate, extra wide and outlandish teaching hours at this stage of education is always an issue which several school management faces during these meetings.Iliteracy and poverty are also absolute roadblocks.most schools lacks financial, infrastructural and localised problems during such PTMs. Otherwise and wisely so most of the schools in Bihar are living it and managing it.
