• Importance of Independence Day and the struggle behind it! Independence Day means day of freedom. This day was our day of independence.

On this day, our country India got independence after many years from the thick and thin chains of the British. The day our country got independence, Indian citizens felt relieved and celebrated. One country in our India had not yet got independence and that was Goa. Goa (state) was liberated on 17 August. 15 August 1947 is a day of pride and joy for every Indian. On this day we get to see Narendra Modi ji hoisting the flag at the Red Fort. Every year on 15 August 1947, the Prime Minister of our country addresses the nation. Narendra Modi will honor the nation from the Pradhir of Red Fort for the 11th consecutive time.

The man who built the Red Fort was a Muslim, who hoisted the flag for the first time on the Red Fort. When the flag is hoisted on the Red Fort, it is hoisted in all schools, colleges, government offices and other places. Immediately after the flag is hoisted, we salute it and read the national anthem. And after this we are told about its history.

As soon as the flag is hoisted at the Red Fort, there is a gun salute and on the same day Modi ji will give a speech at the Red Fort, to listen to which people start going since morning. On this day, the national song is played at every place like school, college etc.
